Mother's Day morning, I saw the bittersweet music video "Because of You" by Reba & Kelly on CMT. Then, I heard Kelly's ballad "Because of You" on the Bay Area radio station Koit 96.5 F.M. BTW: I celebrated Pentacost Sunday (the birthday of the Catholic church) at 8 a.m. Mass. Plus, I entered a contest to win Kelly Clarkson's Australian concert souvenirs on www.kellyclarkson.com. I also bought a copy of the new novel "Sundays at Tiffany's" by James Patterson & Gabrielle Charbonnet at Costco for $14.29. It's about Jane who falls in love with her imaginary friend Michael.

For the record: I had nice and relaxing Mother's Day weekend. I spent quality time with my mom, dad, and grandmother. We ate lunch at Benihana's Japanese restaurant. I gave my mother a funny yet thoughtful card. She asked for "no Mother Day's presents." I followed the maternal orders.

In semi-political news, Jenna Bush (President Bush's twin daughter) married Henry Hager at the Bush family's Crawford, Texas ranch on Saturday. Congratulations to the newlyweds.
