I love writing!!! I write alone in my wardrobe (litterly) I lock myself in there and then write!! And it IS such a great outlet!!! I wrote my first song when i was 8 and it was about animals!! I still remeber it its sooo getto!!!! But i keep it cuz its my first one!! We should have like a separate topic to post what we wrote and then outher people could say what theie opinion is!!!

me too. And same with breakaway. That CD helped me get through my first major heart break, just kept blasting it, over and over. songs like SUBG, BTHE, Walk away. Ironically I am best friends with him again,lol.. but he really is a beautiful disaster, haha
But writing the depressing poetry really helps me a lot.

yeah it is a really good outlet.. its amazing how i feel like craaaaaaaaaap and then i write a song just to let my feelings out, and then i feel much better! and for some reason the same thing happens when i listen to my december.. haha i feel like crap.. listen to it.. i'm better! haha

Haha. Yupp, pretty much everything I write is depressing, but I'm like the happiest person ever.
I like writing songs mostly, but I also write stories. Um. Idk, write just lines or anything that inspire you. If you hear a cool line you can re-arrange it to fit how you want it to, and also just a whole bunch of little stuff makes a great song.

Sorry i forgot to give you a tip ...Just write a journal in a poem form (It doesnt have to rhyme) and then add music to it...and dont worry about weather its good or not its only for you to capture a certain feeling or emotion ;)

Here's a trick that alot of music artists use.
Don't think too much just sort of let the ideas come to you if you think too hard all you get is a big headache and no song written. I'm thinking about recording and putting some of my work on the web.

i wrote a song about a week ago. i TOTALLY pulled a kelly! you see mandie was at my house for 2 weeks, and basically her, my brother and i were living in my basement (because thats where my room and the computer is, and we also got a tv down her too! and some cool video games..) ANYWAY, so i was living with my best friend and brother (because my mom was at work), and i just totally pulled a kelly! i was slightly randomly inspired to write a song and i was like "NO ONE COME IN MY ROOM OR BOTHER ME! I'M WRITING A SONG!" however my cat came in my room and bothered me, then mandie came in my room and like halfway through the song i gave up! haha, but i got half a song out of it!

I wanna see some stuff that stasee writes. I have this thinking that she writes a lot. oh and I'm writing a story, but I wonder when I will finish it.
and tips: I write when I'm thinking a lot, when my mind is everywhere and thinking of anything. then I just write, but I dont really express myself, except I use my taste for everything. ideas just comes while thinking like that, almost being hypnotized and then I write good stuff.

Oh yes , sorry ,... when nights getting longer my english sometimes(?!) becomes very bad .....

Yes, when I sing I mostly do it on the fly. It takes long til I catch up the music's feeling and then slowly to make a complete text out of it. I often have to renew parts of it , cause after a while they seem not to fit perfect. and also when I learned some new or 'righter' expressions ...
