Well, lately I've been seeing a lot of comparison between Amy Lee and Kelly Clarkson. First off, I would like to say that I don't necessarily think that is a bad thing. Both are amazingly talented women and I would take it as a complimant if I was one of them and was compared to the other.

Second, I don't think that Kelly is copying Amy. if anything, she is probably influenced by Amy and Evanescence. Which is not a bad thing at all. Kelly's new look is darker and more edgier, and it suites her well. I hope she continues down this road. The new gothic-rock queen could very well soon be Kelly Clarkson. She could be among the ranks of Sharon den Adel [Within Temptation], Amy Lee [Evanescence], Chrisina Scabbia [Lacuna Coil], Tarja [Nightwish old], Anette Olzen [Nightwish new], Charlotte Wessels [Delain] and many other amazingly talented artists.

I hope Kelly nothing but success in this chapter of her career!
